The Avenue B Quartet began informally with a fun-filled night of friends playing chamber music. “We were having so much fun that we thought other people would enjoy coming to hear us play,” says cellist Sara Fierer. “All of us teach and we felt that, too often, our students weren't able to hear a quality performance that was accessible and allowed entire families to share the concert experience. Our goal is to share our love of music while playing an entire work for everyone regardless of age.” And so they shall.
Members of
the Intermezzo Chamber Players, Stacy Lesartre, Dianne Wachsman Betkowski,
and Nan Shannon, join to form The Parabola
Trio, performing this evening with guest violist Kelly Shanafelt.
With distinctive talent and a keen interest in all things chamber music,
their rich cello,
sparkling piano, and rhapsodic violin will leave you humming captivating
melodies over and over again.
