Convergence was brought to life when Rob Jarosinski began working at Studiomedia Recording in 2001. “I cleaned a lot of toilets,” he remembers. “It wasn’t glamorous. I had no idea what I was doing there, but it was the first time I got a taste of knowing what I wanted to do.” That glimpse was enough to send Rob on a journey that has been 8 years in the making. Together with partner Carrie, Convergence performs unique set arrangements on guitar and cello.
Stephen Bondy has been a performer since in his teens, playing
on electric, acoustic, and classical guitar. Tonight Steve will perform a
piece by Albert Harris, called Concertina de California for guitar and string
quartet, with members of Intermezzo Chamber Players.
Extasis Tango Band has a repertoire
from Golden Era arrangements to Pugliese and Piazzolla. Having recently released
its first CD, the folks in Extasis — Claude Sim, Michael
Tilley, and Evan Orman — perform with a unique approach that is sure
to delight.
